3 Para Fallen - Ride of Respect 01-05 July 2019.
On Tuesday 2nd July at 12.15 pm 2019:
An informal service took place for Cpl Stewart McLaughlin ex- 3 Para at Rake Lane Cemetery, Wallasey.
Stewart McLaughlin a local lad was killed during the battle for Mount Longdon, Falkland Islands 1982.
Members of the Liverpool PRA were in attendance led by Col Joe Harkon. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and ex Major Paul Moore RE who was also a veteran of the battle gave very moving tribute to the memory of Cpl McLaughlin, which included a touching harmonica solo played at the graveside.
